Default Pre-Facelift centre console removal

I need to get to the cig lighter wiring and the only way to do that is to remove the centre console plastic. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this please.

It`s so that I can run my gauge wiring loom from the A pillar.

Many thanks.

Pull out the drinks holder and that gives access to the screws at the top. Pull back the gaitor round the gear stick and that should give access to the bottom screws. I cant mind if you need to remove the ash tray or if there are more than the four screws that i have mentioned as its been a while since i last had it apart.

Thanks for that, I will take a look at lunch time. Although my dash has the clock rather than the cup holder so I guess that needs to be taken out.

All done. There`s two plastic covers to the side of the clock, removed these to find two screws. Pulled the gear lever gaitor up to find two more screws.

Once removed the whole surround lifts away from the dash including the radio.
