first reaction is the original, but i think the black would grow on me so to speak. i do like the carbon inserts as well, but wasn't sold on those the first time i saw them either

I prefer the original, purely because my Classic had a dark dash and i was impressed with the silver bits in the NewAge, breaks it all up a bit.........

Black looks tops, let’s face it, silvers just a failed attempt at replicating steel. Looks as bad as fake carbon fibre.

Have you lacquered yours? I've just used a satin black paint but I'm worried it will mark too easily.

Nope... just a few coats of Halfords satin black. I did try a coat of lacquer but it made it too shiny. So far so good and its held up pretty well....
