Where to mount KS3
Try the passenger side IC mount where it attached to the manifold (2 bolts) - its where one was mounted during mapping of my car.
Or try the spare bolt hole next to the current knock sensor - a bit more fiddly than the first location.

Mine's wedged against the windscreen directly in my line of view of the road ahead... but does reflect street lights at night, DOH !

P.S. Knock sensor is mounted at the front of the nearside inlet manifold, as I could reach it more easily. Works o.k. as no problems when it was mapped by the JGM himself.
