Question

Whats the best way to properly secure a 3 gauge centre mount pod with my gauges in?

I seem to recall someone saying double sided tape would do the trick, but this can't be safe in the even of an accident
You certainly wouldn't want that flying round inside the car in a crash

Gauges are light. (Sub boxes aren't, but that's a different thing altogehter )

Mine are held in in two ways: the cabling comes through a small hole with a tight grommet, so they won't move far. And the pod itself is held in with industrial strength velcro - it's what GGR supply!

John,

You could always bond the pod into the centre bin but if you want to take them out again its going to be a nightmare, I would velcro them in and use heavy duty velcro, it should secure them quite tight.

i've got a scoobymania pod and that fits in tight enough, so that it dosen't need any velcro or glue.

Cheers for the replies, Fitted the gauges into the dash tonight, I hate doing car wiring, so I'm going to take it to a stereo shop to get the power wired up.

All I need now is this damn pressure sendor

Scooby Mania pod is very good fit & needs nothing to secure. Cheaper than GGR too.

Harvey, I think something like this pod should be fixed down m8

God forbid an accident, but any unsecured item like that is going to be travelling a some speed and would certainly seriously injure if not worse anyone it hit

Edited to say, mines the NAM pod, its fibre glass but rock hard, don't know what the others are made of...
