Default Help! STI Gear Surround Loose

Afternoon all,

The STI gear surround in my bugeye STI is loose. 5 of the 6 bolts screw into nothing, and the remaining 1 is still attached but partly out. I've had a look on here but not to much luck.

Any suggestions please? Can I remove that centre console easily enough?

Thanks.

Anyone? If I just pull hard is it going to come off intact?

No worries. Got brave and pulled. To anyone interested, you need to pull the trim from around the handbrake off first (has 4 plastic clips) and then you can pull the trim from around the gear shift. You do not need to remove the gear **** as the gear shift boot has a pop stud allowing it to pass over. The screws keeping the STI gear surround on have nuts underneath, which suffice to say were scattered in amongst the gear stick linkage. I only have 5 so will be looking for 1 more from somewhere.
