I got my 2008 STi on the 14th March 2008. After about 6000 miles the drivers seat started to become very uncomfortable. The stitch line across the seat is exactly where your bum cheeks sit and it started to be very uncomfortable !

I know I’ll get some joke posts with this but I’ll put up with that !

Dealer changed both driver and passenger seat cushions under warranty. That was about 7000 miles. I’ve just had the 10000 mile service and am having the same problem. Clearly replacing the cushion like with like has not solved the problem.

Anyone else had the same problem?

My wife and I drive the car about 50/50% each, and we have never experienced any trouble with the seats. We find the seats very comfortable, including long journeys. We got the car 1st March 2008 and can report there is no damage to the seat's or stitching. The only negative thing I have noticed about the seats is side support when giving it stick, I feel the seats could offer a little more in this department. Hope you get to the bottom of your problem (couldn't resist it).
