Question Facelift Classic dash into a pre facelift?

My sister has a pre facelift classic wrx and she has been offered a dash out of an sti 4. Has anyone changed dashboards and what is involved? Can you use the new clocks? Does the dash match up to the door cards ok?

Any information is appreciated

Paul

Nightmare of a job, with new looms to make up, connectors that don't and the dash won't fit the doorcards.

Not worth the effort IMHO.

I hadn't even considered the different loom I didn't think it would be easy and thought there must be a reason why other people haven't done it.

Thanks

I did this with my old WRX 94 Import, I put the type r engine in, because the inlet manifold was different I had to replace the loom, then I couldnt use the old clocks with the new loom, so I then replaced the clocks dash seats lol, the WRX has a front and rear loom the next problem was the 2 looms (front and rear) would not match, so had to rewire the rear aswell.

Then as mentioned above the old door cards had to be removed as they dont fit the new dash, if left in this may damage the dash

Might be a easyer way of doing things Im not to sure.

Not trying to put you off as it can be done
