I had the same problem when I bought mine - Craig sent me an English version, but to be quiet honest the instructions are too simplistic. You should try Chiark's site on:

Defi have a web address on their boxes or Japanese instruction leaflets and I found the instructions in English on there - danged if I can remember what the address was though.
