Default Double Din on classic

Does anyone know how easilly the "Genuine Subaru pocket" fits the classic?

Scoobyparts Ltd GENUINE SUBARU DIN POCKET

It states it is "a direct replacement for the New Age models (2001-2007) but can be fitted to Classic models (1992-2000)."

Will this fit into a classic without any problems?
I still have a space above the stereo which needs filling.

Question

Is this any help?

The upper part of the double din "slot" is fitted with a small storage space, and the lower part (where the stereo was fitted) is blanked off with a plastic cover (branded SUBARU) and purchsed from local dealer:

Is that pic from the interior of your car?
Does the part that is "blanked off with a plastic cover" have no stereo then?

Yes it is my car.

The blanking panel slots in to the space where the stereo was (immediately above the ashtray). The slot above that is a storage "bin" type of arrangement.

Bish:

1. It is a STi Type RA - so lightweight is the theme
2. Stereo and speakers taken out to:
a) save weight and therefore go faster
b) I love the sound of the flat four + 3" Milltek decatted system
c) wife doesn't like to travel in the car (see a) and b) above).
d) No stereo means it can't be stolen by some lowlife/scum.

mines not an ra its just the normal sti so lightweight isnt too important, i cant really tell the woman that she's not allowed any music in the car as she paid for the car for me so cant complain too much
Plus she is in the car with me most of the time so........ i'll have to find somethin to fill the gap.

yea but does the one in my original post fit a classic?
It says it can be fitted to a classic but does that mean it might need modified slightly to fit?
