Default Prodrive gear **** fitting

Very silly question, but I have just bought a Prodrive **** for my MY06 WRX and the "P" is pointing in the direction of the dash, if you see what I mean. It should be pointing nicely central. I don't know what to do with it. The "P" doesn't come off (yet anyway) and I have no tool to shift the whole thing round. If I muck about, it will end up scratched to bits. I would appreciate any advice for a new member. Thanks.

don't need a tool to get the **** off, just a tight grip and it'll turn eventually.
can't for the life of me remember if there's a hole up the middle so you could pop off the 'P', if not it's only a sticky backed thing, i used a small scalpel blade to prise mine off and get it straight

Don't bother risking the sticker.
Just pop a small washer down the threaded hole & retighten - The "P" will end up in a different position then.
Add or remove washers until the "P" ends up where you want it
