How to remove clock surround

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can remove the clock surround (MY07) to fit the pod for the psi3 gauges?

fingers above the 'lid', thumbs under the 'lid', pull up. Doesn't take too much force to get it moving, but dont be shy at the same time
