How To Fit A Newage Rear Bench Into A Classic?
Hi all,
I'm just about to fit a rear bench from a newage Impreza to my classic.
I've been told they fit and I've seen a few on here, but everyone keeps saying that it will need to be modified,
Thing is no one can explain how and what exactly that it is thats needs modified.
Does anyone know?

Ive got 2006 sti seats in my 94wrx, they are pretty easy to fit. All you have to do bend the metal wire on the seat that hooks on the top near the back shelf, you need to bend it so it sits lower so you cant see the phone.
Hope this helps Dougie

the above covers it pretty well.
I'm not sure if all classics have them but my MY00 had some additional mounting holes covered in a circle of Black plastic. Just peel them off and you end up with a choice of holes.
I used the lowest hole on one side, but couldn't quite get the seat down far enough to quite reach the lower hole on the other side.
I also drilled an additional hole in the seat centre bracket, higher up. But ended up using the original one.
You will need a small amount of black or grey carpet to cover the small hole left between the seat base and side of car. And if it's a UK car some trim/fabric to cover the back of the seat to hide the foam from inside the boot.
