No I haven't got one yet. My engines broke at the mo so I was gonna rebuild that and do the interior and body all while it's off the road. I was thinking of buying a cheap smashed up sport and using the dash out of that.

Im sure the door cards are different on the later dash so you would need them too...

yeah thats what i've ben told and thats why I was wanting to change the dash. so basically the dash shouldn't be a hard job to change but is a sport one the same as a turbo one? wouldn't have thought there'd be any difference but best to check. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Ive done the dash swap some years back so it will fit. Door cards need changing too as the old type dont match the contour lines of the new dashboard well.

Are you changing to the later speedo & heater controls?

You will need to look at how your going to mount & secure the new dash board. Fixing points between old & new dash are different. Cross bar behind the dash is different too. Steering column will not bolt up to the new cross bar. Then the new dash fixing points to the old cross bar will not line up. Either way you will have to make/diy some new fixing points.

Aircon & blower motor unit are different so that will need changing too.

Then there is the wiring side of things.

Thanks very much for the info. I think I might have to have an other think about changing it if it's gonna be that much of a job, might just get the door cards retrimmed to match the new seats i wanna get.
