Gauges - Best places to fit sensors?
I have got some Smiths gauges. The boost guage is already fitted but I need help with the oil temperature and oil pressure guages.
The oil temperature is a mechanical guage with a long braided wire that has what is called a 'bulb' on the end. I have a feeling this will screw directly into the engine somewhere but not sure where. I have seen one car with it put under the altenator, but there is already something in the hole and I don't want to screw up the ECU by unplugging it.
The oil pressure is an electrical guage but I only have the guage, no sender. I am not sure where this one should plug into the engine at all or what size the end piece should be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Tom
