I just bought a new MOMO gearknob for my 03 WRX, I also bought the fitting kit from Subaru which I presume holds up the gaiter. I removed the old **** and believe that the gaiter needs to sit in the groove on the fitting kit, but I cannot see how I can get it there without ripping the gaiter as it seems to big from both ends to slip through the hole in the gaiter, can anyone who has used this kit shed any light on best way to get it to fit as I don't want to wreck the gaiter.
