Default console surround removal

I'd like to remove the graphite grey surround on the console around the heater controls and stereo for re-painting on my classic shape P1. Is this simply pushed/clipped into place or is there some screws that need to be removed, I don't want to just yank it out and break it!! Again are the heater vents at the top centre of the dash pushed/clipped in place or screwed?

Excellent thanks

What about the heater vents by the wing mirrors?

Mine were clipped in (next to mirrors) and a little patience and a thin flat head screwdriver saw to those! prise them from the inner side (closest to the steering wheel) first as there is a metal holding clip there and then slide out in one go.
