Default gearknobs?

Whats the difference between classic and newage gearkknobs? Is the shaft different? I keep seeing gearknobs advertised for specific cars?

Can't see any difference between 5 speed cars.
I fitted a leather classic STi one to my dads 04 Leggy and fits no problem.

Newage STi's have a lift reverse so won't fit.

Be careful: there are ***** out there that LOOK the part, and have the hype. They also go for a lot of money, BUT, they are poorly made and soon start to look tatty.

Their name is similar to an old style washing powder with only two different letters............

Washing powder is omo, wives favourites ie Old Man Out

Gear **** s a simple twist off then pull the plastic lip off the gaitor, try ebay for replacements, i got an old leather STi one to fit my dads leggy and an alloy one, with collar toi fit the gaitor, for mine.

Most aftermarket use grub screws to attach leaving the gaitor with no upper support.
