Default Fitting gauges into gauge pod

I have purchased set of defis and trying to fit the gauges into the triple guage centre pod is been a pain. The rubber o rings are supposed to fit in the gauge hole to hold the gauge but they seem too tight am i doing something wrong?

They can be fairly tight, you can always use masking tape instead, easier to see how much you need to wrap around the guages before slotting them into the holes.
