Default fitting gauges above govebox in classic

has anyone done this? or have any pics of gagues in the redundant bit of plastic above the glovebox, as i'm thinking of fitting some such as air/fuel, oil temp and pressure, making them easier for the passenger to read rather than spending all my time trying to find out whtas going whilst driving

Most cars have an airbag there from 1998 and most drivers want to see their gauges, so i dont think many will have done this if any at all.

I have seen this twice, once on some jap vid on the net where a classic pre96 car had various gauges all over the place including above the glove box.

The 2nd on a fresh import here in the UK. This car (95sti) which had been modified with loads of HKS goodies.
The dash had 4 x 60mm HKS gauges mount flush in the dash, passenger side just above the glove box. Each gauges had a angle pod so that the gauges tilted towards the driver. Looked neat but not something that I would do.

There's not much depth behind it iirc. you might need to modify the heater vent duct, but apart from that, you should be ok. I have put a screen in there, not too tricky
