Default clock my00

Hi Folks
The clock on dash above speedo on my my00 classic does not come on all the time, its completely random cant pin it down to anything specific. The time on clock does not reset, it just does not display time randomaly Anyone else had same ?

I am guessing its some sort of wiring issue, where should start looking ?

any ideas welcomed

thanks
ss

it probably needs a new bulb (as the clock is on constantly but backlit by a small bulb) or there is a fault with the dimmer switch either is easy to fix

if the fillament is broken and you go over a bump the broken fillament may touch each other and light up was just a thought. mine never worked at all when i bought the car but i took the dash out and changed the bulb and it worked but also the time was correct so the clock must have been working ok all the time .think the bulb just illuminates it
