Try and see if it fits in the coin box. The coin box may need some cutting though to get it to fit. I have my Blitz DSBC boost controller in there.

I have my Blitz turbo timer stuck under the coin box (under dash) with the double sided tape that was provided. It looks good there and it is out of the way.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Question

havent tried this, but seems like a good idea.
its in this months 'japanese performance' magazine,a guy called Karl Onyett(dont know if he comes on here)has put his into the air vent nearest the door(drivers side).
he has filled in the whole area and painted it black, looks pretty good, thought about it myself.
anyway have a look in jap. perf.mag and see what you think.

Exclamation

When I was running a boost controller, I removed the ashtray, and installed it in there! The controller was a tight squeeze as it caught on the rails where the ashtray sat. The only way to remove them on a MY99 car, is to remove the whole front of the dash, and take a screwdriver to it!

Quite neat though, as all the wires are easy to hide!

Hope this helps

not sure how big the blitz turbo timer is, but the turbo timers on my Legacy Turbo and the current wrx are to the right of the steering wheel attached underneath the dashboard.

No, I don't hit my knees on it and yes, I can see it thru the steering wheel and can also reach it to adjust it whilst on the move

I have a 99 RB5. I thought about putting it next to the infamous "bright" button, but it dont fit. Front panel/LCD is about 2.5" x 5/8". Also can anyone recommend a fitter in the Huntingdon/Cambs area. I don't fancy cutting through ignition wires and speed sensor wires.

Yes, That's what I meant. My boost controller is in the lid of the coin/fuse box. Did not word it right in my previous post.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Good ideas people, sounds like the coin/fuse lid seems to be a fovourable place. I was also contemplating chopping the cup holder about but have now changed my mind.
Thanx
Pete.

Hi there,

I've got the new style FATT timer. The display is separate to the control box so I ran the wire underneath the ashtray and velcro'ed the control unit between the ashtray and the bottom of the stereo. Look pretty cool and remains totally readable.
