my fabric insert on doorcard is starting to come away.
is insert plastic welded onto doorcard?
has anyone had theirs recovered?

On a 99/00 they are held in with plastic lugs that are melted once in position.
I've heard (but never done it) that you can melt / warm them enough to remove and still leave enough to refit.

It all becomes apparent once the card is off.

had card off a my98 a while ago and thought that was the case!
bit of a bummer if once of remelting doesnt hold though!

You could always refit it with a bit of clear silicone behind it?

or drill the centre of the plastic plug out & use small self tappers with washers under the heads.
