2003 Bugeye!!!!
I am having trouble fitting a new head unit to my jap import sti.
The facia is silver with the heating and fan controls at the bottom it is one complete unit, it has two head units installed already, one jap sat nav, the other clarion mini disc player/radio. The radio only goes up to 90mhz and i do not use mini disc's.
I wish to replace both units, 1 with a new cd/radio, the other with a Graphic. I have purcased the cd player/radio, but when I have fitted it the front facia will not close as the new head unit is wider than the original one. I have taken off the plastic suround but it is still too wide.
Do I need to buy a new facia or is the something I am doing wrong??
Thanks for looking....

Probably nothing wrong, just that most Japanese single/double din units are slightly narrower. Worst case scenerio is to cut the surround or buy a slimmer unit
