thought about doing this myself.
connect it so it comes up when you turn the ignition and goes down when you take the key out.
so theiving gits wont know its there

 

The MY01 onwards in Japan can get a DVD/Nav setup that goes where the clock is from the factory.

The Yanks were talking about it, some got it from Japan but it was $1K USD just for the mechanism etc, without the screen.

 

Very nice but obscures vision a bit! Personally i think if your gonna go down that route get a Pioneer AVIC X1... probably be a lot cheaper in the long run and does everything!
