Hi all,

Got a strange problem - I recently had the interior of my MY94 valeted. Approx 2 weeks later, I started getting a kind of brown 'mold' appearing on the dashboard, mostly where it's exposed to the sun. Despite my best efforts, the only thing that seems to shift it is sandpaper, which I'm not keen of using on the entire dash ! It looks like the valeters have applied something to the dash to clean it, and not removed it properly, and it's now reacting with the sun.

Anybody know of anything that might shift this, or what it might be ?

It might be a good idea to ask the valeters, although I wouldn't have thought you'll go to them again.

You could try WD40 or Meths. Most of the time is does not harm the surface if cleaned off. Alternatively you could try something like muck off used on mountain bikes. This should be cleaned off after 30 secs though. I would try it on a bit of plastic not visable though. You could also try very hot warter, steam or some of that spray that can freeze stuff.
