What MY is your scooby? I have a MY98 Terzo, and was told by the dealer that the new aluminium pedals wouldn't fit, as I asked for them to be fitted before I collected it

It's a MY99 turbo. I have already fitted the clutch and brake pedals and they fit fine. It's just that I am having difficulty removing the original accelerator pedal. The new one is exactly the same shape as the old one so it's just a matter of getting the bugger off.

If you have the Genuine STI alloy pedals they fit straight over the existing pedal and the bolt goes straight through the hollow pin connecting the pedal to the arm. But if you defanatley need to remove the pedal from the arm then it will come off with a big struggle. I managed to get mine off in error by forcing a similar sized bolt to the stud holding the two together through the holes. I had no screw threads or split pins to cope with, just alot of forcing. My tip is to use a good pair of grips to force the pin through, one side of the grip on the back of the pedal and the other on the end of the object you are going to force through. Hope this helps. BTW remember the the existing pedal may have a spring which may not be able to be used on your new set. Good Luck

I've installed the WRX pedals on my RS, it's not all that hard. This page may help

www.scoobymods.com/mods/impreza/wrxpedals.php

The web page software has distorted the pics somewhat if you right click and save as on your HD they will look better. I only do mods and take pics, I don't know any web stuff

or
