Hi
My car (my00 Standard alarm) has developed a strange phenomenon, When I unlock it, it decides that it doesn't want to be open and promptly locks itself again, but, it doesn't reset the alarm, it is possible to open the door while it's unlocked for the few seconds but you have to be quick!
I've taken it to the dealers who fitted a new central locking solenoid, but that didn't cure the problem, I was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar situation, and what the fix was?
Cheers
Ron

Yep ........seems to be when I press the button for too long...........but not long enough to set off the panic alarm.

Maybe it thinks it is 2 presses

I have a very similar problem, but I think mine is to do with the door handle, because it doesnt return to its normal position after opening, its sticking. If I try and unlock the car when its like this I get the same problem as you. Need to take it to the garage and let them look.

il watch this space to see what your dealer does, might be the same problem
