Hi all,
I have fitted an STI Lamco boost gauge to me scoob, but just wondering what to do with the yellow and black cables .
I know these are for the backlight, but where's the best place to scotchlock these babies in? and do I assume that the black is Negative and Yellow is Positive????????

Hi i used the two wires for the cigar lighter just fed the wires down popped out the console section and tapped into the two that illuminate that you cannot go wrong.

Hi robert, does it matter which wire goes to which?
There are several wires behind the cigar lighter, with a little white junction box.
There are three yellow wires with stripes on and one Black wire????

The little white junction box (with 2 wires, behind the radio) could be used for the dial-lights. I don't know where it normally is used for, but after switching on the lights it will give power.
I used this junction box for my gauges on the dash.

Depending on how close it is you could also wire to your fog light switch. Your yellow wire to the purple cable on the switch (there are two but they both power on when the lights are switched on) and the black to the black.
