Weird one this - on boost between 2800rpm - 3500rpm there is a fairly audible rattle coming from what sounds like the passenger airbag area... it doesn't seem to be the glove box, which was the first suspect as it's not exactly the best quality item in the car.. The sound is only there on boost, so if you rev the engine with the car stationary there is no rattle - a frequency thing I would imagine.

I don't really want to start fiddling with the airbag - has anyone else had this, had it fixed by a dealer etc. The car is a UK MY00.

Ha Ha. I had the same problem on my MY98 and the dealer couldn't find it.. I did. They even took the airbag out and re-fitted. What is was was the plastic clip in strip that is right at the back of the dash in front of the windscreen. I unclipped it and it stopped. So what I did was shove a rag under it, crude but effective , and then re-clipped it in. Sorted
