Hi all

Picked up an Autometer boost gauge from ScoobyMania on Saturday. Looks excellent, and almost broke the dash to remove the pod

The tubing that has been supplied fits very tightly inside the manifold outlet, and this is where I have put it. It's tight, and ain't moving anywhere.

Question: will the engine ingest this pipe if I don't secure it, or is there something in the engine stopping its entry?

It's secured with good old electrical tape at the moment in the tradition of bodgers everywhere.

Nick.

I used a piece of 3mm internal bore pipe, slid the nylon pipe up inside it and secured with plastic ties. Then secure that pipe to the manifold fitting and put a plastic tie on that as well.

Sounds like a better plan. Any ideas where to get piping from?

Also, while you're there, how the fsck do you refit the centre thingy after removal? Mine's protruding by a couple of mm and no matter how much I push it doesn't quite go back...

Wink

Just make sure there is nothing obstructing it, then push it back in? Make sure you haven't left your hand in there or anything?

Pipe available from most majot motor spares retailers.
