Its called flocking

I want mine doing too, to keep that sun glare down

You will need to have your dashboard out of the car tho, I have a spare one already out ready

Its called 'flocking' but you need to get the dash out first and send it away. It works by putting a charge through the dash and then spraying powder into the air which sticks to the plastic.

I have used a company called Central Blast Cleaning on 01295 278233 to do a couple of dashes in our rally cars and they come out very well. They adverstise in Motorsport news but I expect there are others about who do the same thing.

You can also get it done in different colours if you fancy a change.

Good luck

Nick

p.s. I have no relationship or alliance with this company - just thought it would help

EDIT: just realised you cant post attatchments. Here is a link to the picture http://www.tuning24.pl/galeria/188.jpg (interior of the micra R).

These guys quoted me £50 to have my MY00 3 gauge centre pod flocking.

Think the whole dash would be quite expensive. If your after MY00 style dash surrounds theres a couple on fleebay right now.

I've contacted Electroflock and although the guy responsible for the flocking was not in I spoke to another guy and got the impression that they do not provide a service to remove the dashboard from the car. I'll call and verify that on Monday.

My question guys is: How difficult is it to remove the dashboard in a '95 sti import.I am seriously considering getting the dashboard flocked next month and it would be nice to know. Can anybody provide some short of guidance to do that.

I have already paid £100 to get the dashboard resprayed by LittleKnocks and only 3 months down the line it started going white again. The only solution seems to be the flocking.

Thank you.
