Question

Hi guys,
Do you know if/where you can buy interior dashes such as carbon fibre or Aluminium? I heard there was an aluminium one.. but i have never been able to source it.
Also I've been thinking about putting a GPS in the scoob for a while now - and after a recent trip into london , i think it could be a wise move. I would be looking for the screen to go where the middle compartment is / pod guages are. If need be i know i could take out the middle vents. It would just be alot easier and look alot better i feel if i could get something like the cover for the pod gauges. Has anyone ever fitted an LCD screen in there Scoob? If so what did you do? and how did you go about it? Who did you go see? Has anyone got any ideas on this at all?
Ian

On the japanese website i saw a NewAge Impreza with an out-of-dash-popping unit. Had some trouble with the undertitling though..

A big thanks to Nito for e-mailing me about SQ Plus and telling me about how he does the carbon fibre effect. I'll e-mail you back later this afternoon/evening .

Hunk - sounds interesting, but at the same time it wouldn't really work.. I have the headunit of the stereo in my Din slot, and there are no others, if i was going to do anything else, i think i would have to take out the panel with the bright button etc and try and fit it in there... de-values the car though. Thanks anyway

Question

I've got a handheld GPS mounted in my Scoob, it's velcro'd to the bottom of the centre console, with an magnetic mount antenna stuck to a small metal plate at the bottom of the windscreen. This is connected to a Psion 5 which is mounted on a "thingy" (technical term) on the centre console air vents.

There's a picture of the GPS on

Thankyou! That is the same sort of thing i want. I have the same recaro front seats from a MY97? i think and with the panasonic head unit it would all blend in nicely i feel. Where did you get it from or did you do it yourself? Any info mate?
