I am considering fitting a SWM Snap Off kit to my MY00 Turbo's Momo Airbag wheel as a security measure. I have two worries though....

1. Will the driver's airbag still work correctly?
2. Will the Subaru warrantee still be valid?

Any comments or experiences would be a great help.

Cheers

Sean

Sean,

Sorry but I don't have any answers to your questions.

However I have the snap-off kit on my scoob and I would highly recommend it. It's not likely to get stolen unless it's towed away!!.
I hope you find your answers.

Muddy.

Not wanting to be negative, but I know of someone who fitted a Raid snap-off to his MY00 and he had problems getting the hub to fit...had to get it machined to clear the plastic trim. Also the boss is much deeper than a standard boss, which brings the wheel approx 2.5" closer to the driver.... not good if you have ape like arms like me

Thumbs down

I found another site yesterday selling SWM Snap Offs and they don't recommend using them with airbag wheels in case the airbag does not fire when needed.

I suppose safety is a bigger factor then security. I can always get another Scoob!
