Thumbs down

I've had my MY00 5 door for a couple of weeks now, love it to bits - but there's a really cheap sounding rattle from the back somewhere. It sounds like maybe the tailgate lock/open mechanism, but I really can't track it down to do anything about it. Are there any common areas to look for rattles on 5 doors - I seem to recall an ex-colleague of mine a year or so ago had a similar problem...

I guess if that's the only thing I can find wrong....

The lock is a common area of rattles, but you may want to check the spoiler too - does the tailgate rattle when you close it?

The tailgate does rattle when I close it - I noticed that the spoiler seemed a little loose but couldn't really see how it could be adjusted or tightened.

The cars in for the 1000 mile service next week sometime, so I'll see if I can get it sorted then. It is a Dutch import though - ho hum...

Cheers for the ideas.
