Can I fit a MY98 MOMO steering wheel to a MY00

I have just purchased a new legacy 2.5 GLX LUX Estate and unlike my MY98 model (up for sale under private) it does not have a MOMO steering wheel. My dealer says it can't be moved over (both have air bags and cruise control) is he correct?
