Question

Does anyone have any tips for getting the Steering wheel off a STi ? I've tried pulling (yes I took the nut off first), tapping 'lightly' with a hammer and still it won't move.

HI there,

Ensure the steering lock is off, I had that trouble changing the steering wheel on a BMW!

Cheers

Tip

Don't take the nut fully off the steering column until you have loosened the wheel. Many a broken nose has resulted from that mistake.

A Combination!

Try leaving the nut on, flush with the end of the column, hit slightly harder with your hammer, and pull the wheel at the same time - it takes two to do this!
