I want to install a Turbo Boost Gauge in my MY94 WRX, will the PE Gauge Pod fit and if so
how much is it ? I have been trying to find
out all day (Monday) but Rob is never available and nobody else can help.

Yes it will fit, however I think they are out of stock. Cost was £36 plus the vat. I have some pics of mine, bigish jpeg though, emeil me if you want to look.

How did you strap your down? (your boost gauge, that is )

I've tried various bits of foam sticky pads, but it always comes loose. I don't really want to stick it to the windscreen as it looks a bit, er, tacky.

PE: I've flattered you elsewhere, so I hope you don't mind this public whinge too much, but having paid nearly £50 for a little plastic moulding I'm a bit surprised it didn't come with a proper mounting kit.

when i was playing with mounting a shift indicator unit, i used some double sided sticky pads from Farnell. Too damn sticky, it was difficult to get them off. Ive got some spare strips left over if you'd like to try one.

 

I mounted it by drilling a small hole in the side of the pod and screwing it into the A pillar. the hole in the pillar is so small as to almost invisible if it was ever removed. Position the pod with the guage removed so its snug and fit the screw. then fit the guage.

I managed to secure mine with 2 strategically placed double sided sticky pads (I think they were Pritt Pads). One vertically to the A pillar nearest the driver and one horizontally nearest the screen. So far no rattles.

 

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I solved the problem last weekend by running a cable tie from the back of the gauge's fixing bracket down the side of the trim next to the pillar and around the steering column under the dash. It ain't moving now!

The screw idea is a good one though, but won't work so well with the Blitz gauge as the fixing bracket has to be fitted from inside the pod.
