no they wont fit. Seats etc are different but will fit but door cards are different shape and wont fit as the pre 96 ones meet the dash. New shaped dashes can be fitted but they are a lot of work

Is there no way of transferring the material across or "making it fit"?

The seats are not a problem they will fit.

The problem is with the front door cards. The Pre 96 impreza's cards curbe round to meet the dash. As the new shape dash is a different shape the new cards are too so will foul your old dashboard. I think the only way is to fit a new dash which a few people like Money have done, but it is serious hassle as all the heater controls, clocks, vents etc need changing

Just fit the seats and dont change door cards

Loads of people done that

Then just get existing door cards to be retrimmed to rest of interior if you can be bothered

Money will fit the new style dash for you as he told me how much he enjoyed doing the one in his lol !

Yeah the man has a point fit the seats and retrim the tiny bits of material on the cards..... unless of course u have the grey alcantara wrx interior anyway which matches the sti seats

lol at siwrx, will never fit a dash again! Me and my bright ideas

Get the door cards anyway. Maybe a way to take the felt off the new door cards and put them on the old ones?

No one realises notices the door cards anyway so can sort this out at a latter date

People have put STI8 sets into a classic and not owrried about the door cards yet.

There is a damaged set of sti8 interior on ebay (front seat is damaged) but this can be retrimmed and at the moment its £130 i think for the COMPLETE interior

Bargain

Errrm guys..... the MY97 dash is exactly the same as the MY95 one. It is the version 4 STis (MY98) that had the Forester dash. MY97s had the facelifted exterior but kept the dash. So YES the door cards will fit. The only problem you may have is the plastic colour depending on the exterior colour. The dash and door plastic can either be basically black or a lighter shade of grey.

No worries Frank .

Saw the Sti8 interior on ebay... looks great apart from the Tar . Could do with a better interior myself (MY00 Uk at the moment). Wouldn't mind Sti or P1 at the right price.

How much did you pay for the STi interior taffy?

Only pulling your leg...... sell my interior for £100

The only interior i'd swap mine for is the P1.

Interesting that you say you've been looking for a year, had you not tried Grade A or Midland. Everytime i've phone for parts these two normally have a few interiors in. UK, STi etc. Normally at reasonable prices.

Hope the interior is in good nick when you pick it up, shoulds to be in reasonable condition.

Don't forget to post some picks when it's in too.

I was joking... no way would i sell it for that . Took me bloody ages to retrim the door cards in plain black..... those things are stuck down like a b'stard!

Just need a full (front and rear seats) P1 interior to become avaliable at a sensible price, then it's gone

My interior is a little tired now and am concidering an interior like yours Tone Loc. How much did you pay for it and also how easy is it to fit the storage box around your handbrake? I thought about putting on in my MY95 WRX and fittng my cd changer into it.

Hi Martin,

Can't help with the storage box, came with the car from Japan. Should be easy to fit tho, it's held on by 3 screws (the same screws that you have without the box).

My interior came from grade A via a friend. I did a deal on my old interior. Bit of a round about sort of deal but i think it ended up about 3100 and my old grey interior (which was in prefect condition). To be honest mine has worn abit on the drivers side bolster, did consider getting it retrimmed. But P1 interior will be better!

£3100 a bit steep lol. Did you pay £300 or £100. If grade a do part-ex I will have to give them a call in the not too distant future

Lol.... was £100 but that was to my friend not gradeA. He got the interior from them and then we swapped interiors. He had an interior from a UK95, the nasty tweed benches. Think they did a really good deal on these for him with the new interior... put them in the skip for him
