Question Boost gauge that matches dials

Does anyone know where I can get a boost gauge that looks the same as the original dials for a 98-00 Classic shape. White faces but with green backlit letters and numbers? Also a pillar pod for a 98 scoob aswell?

Any ideas?

Thanx.

Andrew.

Or if the price of Defi's is a bit much you could look at Autometer Ultralites. Look very similar to OE dash and can be had for under £100 for Oil Temp, Press and AFR from right places

Have a look here - http://www.mjdesignsuk.com/autometer.html

They are silver faced and glow green. Don't think they are anywhere near as good as the Defi's but still look really good. I got mine from the US so were very cheap. The centre gauge pod cost almost the same as the gauges!

Or the Autometer Phantom range. Very good match to OE dials, but with black bezel instead of the chrome. A little more subtle. Have a look on Autometer. Available in UK via scoobymania I think, or from Real Steel.

If you really want to treat yourself then check out the BF range from Defi. These are, without a doubt, the nicest gauges available. And not as pricey as you'd think if you know where/who to get them from.

Try Omori gauges...they are white faced with red needles and light up just like the dash at night.

They aren't cheap, but they look gooooooooooood

I think I was quoted about £440 for boost, oil pressure and exhaust gas temp (52mm) with all sensors, wires, etc.

I think the website is: www.omorimeter.com

Smiths Caerbont gauges match MY99-00 better than any others I've seen, and they are not expensive. Try TSL or Merlin motorsport

You can also swap the clear bulbs for Green ones too from Halfords

Scott... the smiths gauges, are they back lit (like Defi) or do they just light up the face (like autometer)?

Tony.

Yes, they are backlite and come with clear bulbs.
I've changed these to Green 1.25W dash bulbs from Halfords.
You will need to bend the wires to the green bulbs away from the bulb (as it is designed to fit into a holder) then attached a small lengths of wire.

They are also much smaller then the smiths ones, so they do fit the Smiths bulb holder but you can hold them in place well enough with insulation tape.

Sounds complicated but only takes a few minutes to sort out.
