Drivers Air Vent
have got a problem with the drivers air vent on a classic (early dash)
it used to flip one way then the other, with a kind of springy-firmness.
now it doesnt.
I've taken it out , and there is a very sorry looking spring in there, that looks detached from where its ment to be. only troulbe , is i dont see how its ment to go.
PIC
(sorry abt appaling quality at short range)
if anyone has, or can take a pic, or care to explain, that would excelent!
cheers
Steve

It never ends, does it? I've never taken my airvents out. I can do sometime this week and then take a photo if that would help.
Did you get the oil leaks stopped in the end?

no Dave, it never does!
i took mine out, and then promptly dropepd an allen key down it !
1 hrs later , with a magnet attached to a piece of string - and a game of 'Allen fishing' and i was back on track!
it was all during my 'pod' install, which subsiquently went totaly wrong - another 2.5days wasted !
so now the ****** is perminantly glued on so much , that u'd probably rip the car apart before it fell off (or , at least thats the plan!)
talking of which - i put LED's in for Knock&AFR .. so quess what im missing !
if you could take it out (really simple - just lever from front right corner) that would be gread!
cheers
Steve
DOH- oil ... no - still smoking. REALLY need to get those bits and do them- but will after getting the brakes looked at profesionally @TSL next week!

Tell me about it... I just fitted new discs and pads all round - big improvement there, but I do need to bleed the brakes again. Now I need new tyres & insurance
I'll try to get the photos done tonight. I've been told that I'm sanding a boat hull tomorrow evening.
Did you see my knocklink LEDs? It's on this thread.
I'm still using the wooden pod. But at least the oil leaks have stopped.

I'm quite pleased with my new camera - xmas present from Mum
Did you have yours in closeup mode?
I don't think the little vent on the top of my dash moves. It could be a MY97 enhancement?
