Question Harnesses

First up, apologies if this has been asked recently, I had a look, but there is no search at the moment!

I want some harnesses, mainly for better hold round corners etc (me and the missus are skinny buggers). I rarely do trackdays etc.

I am unsure about the fitting, do I have to remove the normal seat belts etc? Anyone got any info about installing them in the Impreza? I assume it's 3-point I want...

Anyone had any hassle with insurance companies?

Lastly, where/what to get at a good price?

Cheers all!
Andy

Hiya mate,
First off i had no problems with my insurance company (Adrian Flux), I've got a set of Sparco 3 point bolt in harnasses from Demon Tweeks, they are about £35 each but i reccomend getting Sabelt ones instead, they make the sparco ones but you get more for the same money with the sabelt harnasses.
You can remove your seatbelts if you want but it is not necessary, I 've got mine mounted by using the bottom bolt of the front seat belts, the bolt on the opposite side that holds the seat down and finally the rear seatbelt clips in the back of the car (if that makes sense???!!)
Had the mot in Jan and got the tester to check them over and he was fine with them.
Only downsides are that i had to remove the centre rear lapbelt and its awkward for people in the back seat!
Few piccies below hopefully, e-mail me if you want more detailed ones

Looks good!! Thanks for help!

When you say the rear seat belt clips where do you mean exactly. Btw i don't mind losing rear lapbelt as i never take 4 passengers, too slow

In your back seat you get two bolts, one for the two buckles/clip things that you plug your seatbelt into(drivers side and centre lapbelt) and the other one mounts the passenger buckle and the lapbelt. you get rid of the centre lapbelt and it gives you the room for the harness.
I'll do some proper pics tomorrow, i've got the back seat out anyway and i'm crap at explaining things.
I know what you mean about speed though, at least you have a turbo to help you along
