Looking at fitting a Roll Cage - apart from Safety Devices, can anyone make any suggestions on where to obtain one from? Can be bolt or weld in type.

No other suggestions, I'm afraid, but I have one of Safety Devices's removable roll cages in my P1. Goes in very well, and has a hoop behind the front seats, braced by top and bottom bars that run back to a vertical bar mounted on the rear strut tops and lower seat belt mountings. This bar is the only fiddly one to get in, but can be left in permanently as you can get the back seat cushion back in with it attached. The final bars are the usual X shaped cross bars that run from the top of the hoop to the bottom of the upright "permanent" bar. These incorporate a horizontal harness bar for a 4 way harnesses. No drilling required anywhere, and it takes about 40 minutes to get in and out.

I've got one of these, too. Highly recommended.

FB's P1 is a 2-door, which makes fitting much harder. In my 4-door, my son and I can do get it in under ten mins, and out in five.

Yes, site has been updated and the roll-cages bit dropped. But I'm sure they can still supply - made by Safety Devices in Cambridge but Mike at Performance Drivers holds the patent. Call him on 01482 868877 email info@performancedrivers.co.uk

Richard.

PS If you end up ordering a one-off, I think you can have it any colour you like, including chrome STi pink anyone?

I've got one of these fitted, but not sure it would pass scrutineering for sprinting. Because the lower support is not bolted to the body.

Does anybody use one in competitions ?
