Just wondered if any of you out there have installed the SECS dash top pod an a 02 WRX?
I've been toying with the ideas for a while now and have itchy fingers but need a bit more advice from the Scoobynet community before I make purchase. So here's a few questions that hopefully you can help me out with.
(1) Noticed that the orignal dash top unit on my WRX has both time and a red LED security light intergrated into the panel, I understand that the SECS unit has time display but by loosing the LED will this cause any issues with my security system ?, i.e disconnecting the LED.
(2) On PSI3's web site there is a step by step guide for pod installation on a classic, How easy did you find it to fit on a 02 bug ?.
(3) Have you experienced any problems with SECS, do you find it a reliable product ?
Cheers

had no problems with the sun yet, but time will tell.

cheers guys,
should have mine within the next day or so, I took the existing pod out tonight to see how easy it was to remove just needed some good old brutal force, but the LED looks a bit tricky , could'nt pop it out, is it glued in there ? not sure if I should cut the wires and solder a new one on . If you could give me some tips on getting the b*gger our I'd be very greatful.
cheers

Thanks Simon I managed to get the LED out with your advice.
Must say its a great bit of kit, fits perfectly and looks the business, and only took me 30 minutes to install
