Dunno but my coolant temp gauge seems a little duller than the rest, has been like that since I got it.
Not sure if it's just due to the design or if a bulb is gone or has dulled, keep me updated if you confirm it is a bulb cos I'll need to sort mine as well!

Yeah it's an electronic speedo so shouldn't be too difficult, usually you remove the screws and can then pull the cluster forward enough to disconnect the plugs from the back.
Never done it on an Impreza though so dunno if there's a hidden snag!

There wasn't a snag on my MY96 (It's UK, so no speedo cable)
There's 2 ribbon cables - one on each side of the dials and a small connector for the airbag lamp in the centre.
The only slightly tricky bit I found was wriggling the assembly out from between the dash and steering wheel, and even that's not really taxing
Of course ot could have been made harder on the later cars

Yeah not too bad, now if you wanted to remove white faces then it would be more of an issue just be careful with the screws & the black hole that is the dash board as you unscrew 'em ideally get a friend with big hands or lots of spares lol. Small ahnds to reach round back to unplug bits helps as well
