Hi,
Yes it is for the SVA, someone is sending me a centre for the Nardi wheel which apparently covers the bolts over and pads them out. so il see what thats like first.

Paul
They test loads. Seems like an MOT, but different criteria.

Mine faled on :
1. Steering wheel. I had the Nardi wheel with small hex nuts around the centre boss. they weren't rounded enough.
fix : swapped with standard airbag wheel in the boot
2. Drivers Seatbelt didnt retract properly.
easy fix
3. Couldnt do the emissions properly as Idle wouldnt come down below 1900 rpm after speed test.
faulty Idle control valve
4. The sticker supplied with speedo convert, isnt backlit.
get rid of sticker, just paint out the "k" in km/h

Tyres : Better to have an E rating on them. I already bought a set of Toyo's
Emissions : I borrowed a uk centre cat and backbox, passed first time.
Leaks : They checked for leaks on brake system , ABS, power steering.
Dont forget to take your de-registration document with you.
The jap version and english.
Remove ALL gauges.(tuck wiring up in under dash if you can)
They also do a lights alignment check.
I expect you know the following, but just in case :
Fog light, best to have the external bolt on; to start with.
has to be something like 10cm from ground i believe.
Tape up the wiring completely, as it passes through the boot compartment, they will be unlikely to look further than that at the wiring. The switch must illuminate when on.
Mine is wired so that you can only switch it on when on dipped beam

Hope all goes well.

Just to add, get your MOT organised asap, if not already done,
and insured. You cant register the car without these 2.
You can insure & MOT it, on the chassis number alone.
