Question

Challenge to you scoobynetters - tell me how to remove the interior door card off, MY99. It's a manual window ie. NOT electric windows.

Any tips? Please? anyone? PLEASE?!?!?

On most cars it's usually the same for electric windows but with a circlip holding the winder arm on the spigot.

Hope this helps

DJFish

Thanks mate, but questions:
"circlip"?
"spigot"?

I'm a bit new to this!

circlip

Spigot = sticky out bit of metal that pokes through the door card & sticks in the winder handle (can't be arsed to try and find a picture!Sorry)

Hi Dave

Sorry to be a pain, but is the circlip the bit of plastic between the winder handle and the door card? What tool do I need to get it off?

Cheers

Buggered if I know matey!
I'm just going on past experiences on older cars.

Basically the winder has to be held onto the spigot somehow, either by a metal clip hidden between the winder and door card:

http://www.blueridgemiataclub.org/technical/windows/
or a screw through the winder handle itself which would be covered by plastic trim.

Here's another method I found on the net:

Hope this helps

Dave
