I know I must be stupid but how do you take the seats out on a P1 MY00. They seem to get stuck up a stop somewhere as they move forward.

Dunno about a P1 but I just whipped the seats out of my MY2000 to install a cd changer, just undid all 4 bolts holding the whole subframe assembly to the car body, rolled down the front windows, reclined the seat fully and lifted it CAREFULLY out.

Yep, unbolting the entire assembly is the only way.

Also worth adding that when you come to put them back in, make absolutely certain you've got the screws in straight and fully engaged in the existing threads. Cross-threading is always a risk with those horrible taper thread bolts...
