Has anybody fitted a boost guage to this model? I'm trying to find out which pipe on the inlet manifold that should be tee'd into and where the best place to run the pipe through the bulkhd is.
The gauge will be mounted on the A pillar.
Gauge illumination is easy as there is a blank switch position next to the water spray which is wired up. Splice into the purple wire for the +ve feed and adjacent black wire for the earth.
any help would be appreciated.
cheers
Andy

The correct place to tee the pipe into (according to Subaru) is after the short elbow pipe that comes out of the dump valve.
Best place to feed the vacuum pipe through is the large unused grommet on the bulkhead near the steering column.
Take care to ensure the vacuum pipe isn't dangling near the turbo, and if you locate it with tie wraps, don't do them up too tight or they will pinch the pipe.

Cheers guys, I think I know where I'm going. Is the dump valve the small plastic item (around 1.5" dia)?
I've located the spare bulkhead grommet next to the servo, unfortunately the pipe in the fitting kit is too short (1.8m).

Nope, the dump valve is steel and fitted to the front edge of the intercooler, to thr right of centre - it has two bolts through a flange around 100mm diameter. A short elbow rubber pipe comes out of the right of it, and is where to tee into.
You can see it in the pic in the thread shown as "looky here" in Nathan's post above - it is just to the right of the big red plastic bit in the pic!
1.8m hose should reach - from the dumpvalve tie wrap the hose to the vacuum pipe that runs along the front of the intercooler, then run it through the bulkhead grommet and under the dash panel to the lower right of the steering column inside.
