Question

Where have you guys mounted the display part of this device??
I'm thinking of the my98-00 style dash. I can't see a place anywhere that it might fit, except next to the 'Bright' switch!
I want it to look 'factory' and not stuck on somewhere with a bit 'o' sticky tape

here
certainly neat but not the best position, sure as hell beats hacking up the centre console tho.

Reasons I put it here :
it's a tuning tool and does not need to be flashing in your face twenty four seven.
wired to bright switch for full stealth mode (service etc)

I put mine actually in the centre air vent pipe - behind the grill - the led's are actually quite bright so i would not recommend direct line of site ... I can see the led's no probs....

Thumbs up

Fuzz/Nick thanks for the replies. Two places I certainly didn't think of! Still undecided which way to go though. Haven't got the device yet anyway, so will experiment a bit, but will probably end up doing the same as either one of you!
Another quick question, where did you wire it to? Lives/ECU/Lambda sensor etc???

Live straight to the battery via a fuse, Negative directly to the battery, and the white wire (lamda) into the ecu... making sure all connections are sound, there was some debate about where you should connect to, ie finding the cleanest feeds. Mine works fine with the setup i have...

Unhappy

Fitted the AFR today and went for a spin. Nothing
Wired the Earth to the battery, the live to pin 9 and the feed to pin 21 MY00 P1 Any ideas?? Will try changing the live to the *** lighter, but thought it would be better at the ECU

ah ah ! found the link from whence I got it

http://www.geocities.com/subman2001nz/

Live = *** lighter live
Sensor= white wire from ecu under floor
earth = from bolt that holds the ecu down.

I would say mines not working right either but I am hoping that's not the AFR at fault, I think the lambda sensors fu*ked
