Cool

I have bought the Genuine Subaru 3 guage dash pod for my MY2000 but it does not come with a front plate to mount the guages in and it also does not come with any fitting instructions, can anyone tell me how to fit it. The front plate is not a problem as I can make one but in order to fit the pod it looks like you need to take the original centre cupboard thing off but the air vents are part of it so how do I fix the big metal mounting plate and also how do I fix the front plate with the guages in it to the pod.

Any help or instructions would be appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

As I understand it Subaru dealers actually cut the old tray oou. Methinks this is bad and messy if you want to return the tray as it was. I believe this scoobymania and Defi pods don't require this as you don't have to wreck the tray to install them. Am I right anybody?

i'll add what i can (2 cents worth)

I've got the official subaru kit in my my00, fitted by the dealer. The pod fits perfectly, but a small proportion of the vents (just below the lip of the old tray) has been filed away to create a perfect finish.

Also, most of the old tray bottom has gone too - huge hole!

Thanks for this info, but I have 2 of these niknak trays so I can afford to butcher one and still keep a complete one.
